VOLUNTEERS & INTERNS
Volunteers are a life line for the Carolina
Theatre Preservation Association. Being a not-for-profit, we rely on
community support for all functions of the theatre. If you have just a few
hours per month to contribute, we would love to have you as part of the team!
Currently you may volunteer to be called upon when we need you, or you can have a more active role by
serving on a committee.
Many of our volunteers prefer to be on a
committee with specific needs and work with other committee members to achieve
committee goals.
The following are committees that could use you
help:
- Entertainment - helps create a
diverse event calendar, plan two benefits per year, get a say in what
entertainers are selected to perform on stage, and more!
- Fundraising - helps create
fundraising plans, campaigns, event sponsors, raffles, & more!
- Logistics - assures that each
event at the theatre is flawless! This committee creates a
checklist for volunteers and is in charge of all the details that lets an
event flow without a hitch - from quality assurance to making sure someone
is scheduled to clean after an event
- Volunteers - helps with
volunteer recruitment, volunteer retention, and volunteer assignments for
events
- Concessions & store - helps
create revenue ideas through concessions and a store (committee members get
to select items created & sold in the Carolina Theatre store!)
- Historical - works on ways to
record history - collecting past historical photos and documents to
categorizing current events through photos, press releases, and more!
In the future this committee will help create a museum housed at the theatre
for the public to appreciate reflecting mountain heritage music and Carolina
Theatre history
Volunteer and get perks! Not only
will you be contributing to something special for the surrounding communities
and playing an important part of history, but volunteers also get VIP
invitations to the VIP Receptions, get 12 free event tickets per year, and more!
